This past weekend i had the pleasure of experencing a musical experience known as Japhy Ryder.THis foursome blew me away,and not one lyric was sung all night.This was some of the best live music I have seen in a long time, and i see live music every weekend.The guys in the band traveled all the way from Burlington vt, to play a little pizza place on Cape Cod.for mybe enough $ for gas.They were a bunch of great guys who really love what they do. Trust me if you love good music check them out if you get the chance you will not be disapointed.Peace

Emerging from the murky musical depths of the Queen City (Burlington, VT), Japhy Ryder is the epitome of the Kerouacian dream. This group of melodic vagabonds hustle and bustle their way across the northeast, venturing from town to town in search of a receptive ear and sweet libation.

Japhy Ryder is Gary Snyder, Alvah Goldbook (who reads a poem called 'Wail').This period provided the materials for Kerouac's novel The Dharma Bums, and Snyder was the inspiration for the novel's main character.
